Why corn free and soy free eggs? We are often asked why our eggs from Darby Farm are described this way. Corn and soy are known to be foods that are genetically modified and not a natural choice of food for poultry. Ducks and chickens are omnivores and enjoy protein from bugs and meats as well as vegetables and grains. We give our bids free range to eat grass, plants and scratch for bugs. This ensures a healthier lifestyle for them and healthier eggs, since what they eat impacts what we eat in their eggs.
